Branch update – 1 June 2023
Kia ora!
After a busy start to the year with the unexpected event, Cyclone Gabrielle, which I was privileged to help out with at the Hawkes Bay ECC as part of the Civil Defence a few weeks after the Cyclone, we held our first branch meeting on Friday, 26 May 2023.
Our meeting was hosted at Tauranga’s newly commissioned Waiari Water Treatment Plant and offered as both in person and online.
Our next branch meeting will be in August. Watch this space and your inbox for more details on this event.
We very much look forward to catching up for this opportunity to share knowledge within our industry.

At the 2021 AGM we made some changes to the Āpōpō branch boundaries to combine our former East Coast Branch with the Bay of Plenty region (which used to be part of our Northern Branch). Click to see a map.
This change helps to balance branch member numbers and will increase the opportunity for participation in branch activity in this newly formed Bay of Plenty East Coast Branch.

Yesterday we were thrilled to host the first IPWEA NZ golf day of the summer season! Members of the East Coast/Bay of Plenty Branch came together in the Hawke’s Bay.
