Venue: Teams - details to be sent to attendees

This course is delivered in an online session via Teams (9.30am – 12.30pm on 12 June).

This enriching course aims to empower asset managers and related climate professionals with the necessary tools to navigate the complexities of climate adaptation within asset management planning, while honoring indigenous unique social, cultural, and environmental context.

Asset managers are in unique roles which consider ALL the drivers and factors that influence community infrastructure planning, including, but not limited to just climate adaptation planning.  Learn how to use your professional judgement to balance all factors and take a balanced approach to climate adaptation planning within an asset management context.

We will consider reasonable expectations on asset managers and climate adaptation teams alike to make the best decisions based on traditional knowledge, evidence and future demands for our cities infrastructure requirements.  Learn how asset managers become connectors and operational implementers of climate strategy using traditional indigenous knowledge and new technical approaches.

We will apply asset management knowledge to climate change considerations, supported by recently prepared guidance developed by our Māori communities, industry organisations, government and asset management leaders and contained within the Āpōpō Guide.
