    Description

The Central Government Asset Management Community of Practice

Together Āpōpō and Te Waihanga facilitate this community of practice.

Central Government asset management is increasingly in the spotlight as we grapple with high service aspirations, constrained funding, and end of life infrastructure.

Asset Managers face tactical and strategic challenges to being the best stewards of their communities’ or nations’ infrastructure – with central government asset managers at the forefront of much which is taken for granted or as of right by public users.

    Our mission

The mission of this Community of Practice is to bring Central Government Asset Managers together to share experiences, war stories, opportunities, successes, risks, failures and lessons learnt.

    What we offer

The Community of Practice meets  3 times per year to discuss technically relevant topics, strategic positioning of asset management, and to learn from each other. Attendance at meetings is free and membership of Āpōpō is not required.

    Why join us?

Being part of a like-minded and skilled professional group provides support and knowledge sharing across Government agencies, and builds networks that can be relied on for support and leveraging expertise.
