2021 ended on a strong note for the Otago/Southland branch being able to hold the 40th Annual Golf day, despite the ongoing disruptions and delays caused by COVID-19 changes which seemed to have dominated 2021. You can check out the full story on the last branch meeting presentations and golf results by clicking here.

Otago/Southland have had a busy time of construction in 2021, and resourcing in our smaller councils remains a challenge which we each need to continue to focus on. On this front IPWEA NZ have submitted to the government providing feedback on proposed reviews including the Three Waters reform.  Health and RMA will be the next once in a generation reviews which IPWEA NZ will represent you as members on – so continue to watch this space as the details of these reviews emerge.

In 2022 we are planning three branch meetings, one of which will be combined with the Upper South Island Branch. We are in the process of planning these meetings, and will get them out to you as soon as the dates are set.

In the meantime I hope all our members have had a great break over Christmas, and I hope to see you at the Future-Fit Conference in Auckland.
