On Friday 11th April Abdul Kaggwa shared his career journey to asset management and the background to his 2024 poster entry – building a thriving community. His poster was runner up in both the Emerging and Best Overall poster competition in 2024.
In 2017 he arrived in New Zealand, and in 2022 he started working at the Waikato District Council. He has been involved with the Long Term Plans at the Waikato District Council, starting out with updating the Parks and Open spaces component of the LTP.
He found the poster competition process a valuable one, the presentation of the poster at Congress was a great way to connect and expand his professional network.
