This workshop is for those experienced in construction contracts who need to know just what’s different about design and construction contracts, and how their roles will be affected by these differences.

Make sure you are better prepared for your design and construct contracts, whether as an engineer, a Principal or as a contractor by attending this interesting workshop.

While on the surface the NZS 3916 document looks similar to NZS 3910 (and is for more than half of its content) it differs where it needs to, to reflect the much wider role of a contractor in design and construct contracts, and the consequent changes to the role of the Engineer, risk allocation, business processes, variations and their valuation, risks and insurances, etc.

We explain all this in detail during this single day training workshop and provide attendees with a comprehensive guide for your personal reference together, with some case studies on what works well and what doesn’t.

Attendees have preferably already attended the Āpōpō NZS 3910 construction contracts training workshop.

Attendees should bring a copy of the NZS 3916: 2013 standard booklet, available in hard or digital copy at: www.standards.org.nz. A limited number of 3916 copies may be available during the workshop.
