The release of the Āpōpō Guide in 2023 gave us the opportunity to reimagine AM 101, using inspiration from the Guide, feedback from course evaluation forms, and emerging trends in asset management.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Tight alignment with the Āpōpō Guide and ISO 5500X: Our enhanced curriculum reflects the latest industry standards, providing learners with a robust foundation in asset management principles.
  • Weaves together te ao Māori and infrastructure asset management: Inspired by the Āpōpō Guide, we introduce key concepts of te ao Māori and how they are intertwined with infrastructure asset management.
  • Streamlined curriculum: We’ve optimised the course flow, simplifying complex concepts and enhancing clarity for learners at every stage of their learning journey.
  • Interactive learning experience: Immerse yourself in a dynamic learning environment, rich with interactive diagrams, engaging videos, and practical activities that foster deep understanding and retention.

We began the enhancement of AM 101 after the launch of the Āpōpō Guide, and ran a pilot programme over summer. Participants came from diverse backgrounds, offering a blend of institutional knowledge and fresh unfiltered perspectives.
