What is GFMAM?
The Global Forum on Maintenance & Asset Management (GFMAM) has been established with the aim of collaboratively sharing advancements, knowledge and standards in maintenance and asset management.
Āpōpō became the fifteenth member of GFMAM in May 2024.
What is the GFMAM Asset Management Landscape?
The GFMAM Asset Management Landscape is an internationally recognised document that provides a detailed and structured view of the key concepts, principles, and practices essential for effective asset management.
The AM Landscape is designed to complement the ISO 5500x suite of standards and related materials, which primarily focus on the implementation and use of a Management System. The AM Landscape is a framework designed to enable Asset Management knowledge and practices so that they can be compared, contrasted, and aligned around a common understanding of the discipline of Asset Management.
How Does Āpōpō Use the Asset Management Landscape?
The GFMAM Asset Management Landscape provides an internationally recognised framework upon which Āpōpō builds additional resources reflecting the practice of asset management in Aotearoa New Zealand. For example:

Āpōpō Professional Practice Accreditation uses the AM Landscape as a base document for our Knowledge Framework, which provide the technical competencies for the accreditation scheme.
