Hamilton’s Peacocke Network Infrastructure – Strategic Northern Connections has been recognised as an exemplar of innovation in infrastructure asset management excellence – New Zealand skills and tangata whenua partnerships delivering world-class assets. The project culture of collaborative and creative teamwork delivered an iconic asset using new approaches, multi-functional infrastructure and spaces to connect communities, culture, heritage and the environment.

Hamilton’s Peacocke Network Infrastructure – Strategic Northern Connections showcases a culture of collaborative and creative teamwork delivering iconic assets and extraordinary outcomes for a wide range of communities.

The outstanding Te Ara Pekapeka Bridge, wastewater pump station and strategic connections deliver strategic and sustainable infrastructure for 20,000 future Hamiltonians, combining National and Local Government and developer investment. It exemplifies innovation in infrastructure asset management excellence – New Zealand skills delivering world-class assets.

Hamilton integrates excellence in asset management practices embedding rich cultural values of Te Ao Maori, evidenced here in partnership with the Southern Links Tangata Whenua Working Group.

Effective governance and project partnerships allowed experimentation and fostered a willingness to challenge the status quo to get the most out of every decision, embracing different communities, organisations, cultures and skill sets. The assets exemplify how innovative design, experimentation and community engagement can deliver sustainable infrastructure and value to the community.
